This year, I will be participating in a couple of Christmas fairs close to home and also some further afield, north of the Border, so to give you advance notice of two of the fairs – the first one is at Merchiston Castle School, Colinton Edinburgh, EH13 0PU on Saturday December 2nd, from 10 – 2.
Following last year’s inaugural fair, which was a huge success, Merchiston School is delighted to announce that they will be holding this year’s ‘A Very Merchiston Christmas Fair’ on Saturday, December 2nd, from 10:00-14:00.
Held in the beautifully decorated Memorial Hall at Merchiston Castle School, the event is perfect for getting into the festive spirit. Whilst at the fair, you can purchase luxurious gifts, sample delicious treats, and enter the fantastic raffle to support the efforts of our charity fundraising students, too.
I am delighted to be at Merchiston again, where I will show a selection of winter headpieces, including my tartan collection, which was featured in an earlier Studio News post, and a selection of gift accessory pieces.
Tickets for the event are free and are available via Eventbrite. The school is inviting all attendees to donate on entry, with all donations and proceedings from the raffle supporting the Edinburgh Food Project.
On Sunday, December 3rd 2023, after a quick drive south the next day, I will be at Alnwick Rugby Club, Greenfield, Willowburn Avenue, Alnwick NE66 1BE, where the Rugby Club will be a sea of red, as hundreds of Santas take part in the Alnwick Santa Fun Run, to raise funds for local charities.
From 12.30 – 4 pm, in the Club House, there will be the inaugural Christmas Fair, where I will show my winter collections and Christmas gift accessories along with other local artisan makers and suppliers.
Alnwick Rugby Juniors and Minis Club are raising funds for their chosen charity this year, the Rugby charity The Wooden Spoon – Northumberland. However, if you decide to enter the race, you can use your sponsorship to raise money for a charity of your choice when participating in the event. Two routes will be available, one approximately 1.5 miles and another just under 3 miles, and your Santa Fun Run entrance fee will include a Santa hat.
So, if you decide to join the sea of red, I look forward to meeting you, and I will definitely be wearing either one of my hats and, if not, a Santa hat!
