Hi, I’m Collie! With a 15 year career as a barista in the UK, Australia and New Zealand I wanted to create accessible training for all coffee lovers that encourages creativity and provides a space to learn, make a mess and most importantly have fun!

Over my career I developed health problems with the joints & muscles in my hands & wrists, ultimately having to step down from full time work as a barista. Thus Collie Makes Coffee was started – Barista training that uniquely focuses on long term health of baristas through Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) and incorporating hand yoga & joint care practices into the training.

Collie Makes Coffee breaks down any pretentiousness and technical jargon into fun, accessible, practical learning for everyone & anyone with an interest in coffee.

Whether you own a hospitality business and require staff training,

Or you’re a working barista wanting to fine tune your skills.

Maybe you have an espresso machine at home or at the office you’d like some training on,

Or a charity/organisation looking for group activities,

Or you’re an aspiring barista – or just fancy having a go with your mates!

Collie Makes Coffee has you covered!

SUSTAINABILITY/ECO-MINDED

Collie Makes Coffee is committed to reducing waste by practicing Infinity Pouring (a method of re-using steamed milk to pour multiple times), reusing coffee grounds from every workshop, whipping them into delicious hand scrubs – which come complimentary with every booking!

We use coffee beans from local roaster Tynemouth Coffee Co and use Huskee cups – a leader in reusable, eco-friendly coffee wares.

“Ahhhhh so much fun!” (Katie)

“I cannot recommend this workshop highly enough, it was brilliant, educational and so so much fun. Get it booked!” (Joanne)

“Thank you for the lovely time, honestly it was so fun and educational. I didn’t think it would be that interactive but I’m glad it was.” (Hind)
