VOLUNTEER WITH US

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Feeding Families. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or help occasionally at events or campaigns, we’d love to welcome you.

OUR VALUES

At Feeding Families, our values are at the heart of everything we do.

These values guide our work, inform our decisions, shape our interactions, and drive our commitment to serving our community with compassion and effectiveness.  At Feeding Families, we are committed to embedding these values in all aspects of our work. From the food we source to the way we interact with families, partners and each other, we strive to live our values every day. This commitment ensures we are a trusted and effective force for good in our community.

Dignity

We provide good quality food that we would be proud to take home ourselves. Every person is treated with respect, without judgement or labels, so support feels human and builds confidence, not dependency.

Integrity

We act with honesty, transparency, and accountability in everything we do. We use our resources responsibly and speak up where systems are not working, because lasting change needs both action and voice.

Action

We respond quickly and practically when families need support. Our focus is on delivering what works, while using every interaction as a chance to connect people to wider help and longer-term stability.

Together

We work in partnership with communities, organisations, and volunteers to build a stronger, more connected response to poverty. By sharing knowledge, resources, and insight, we help create pathways out of crisis.

HELP FAMILIES WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST

Together with our volunteers, partners, and supporters, our team works every day to ensure no one in the North East faces hunger or crisis alone.
