VOLUNTEER WITH US

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Feeding Families. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or help occasionally at events or campaigns, we’d love to welcome you.

OUR VALUES

At Feeding Families, empathy is at the heart of everything we do.

We treat every family, volunteer, and partner with kindness, respect, and dignity. Guided by integrity, we uphold excellence, equality, and diversity in all areas of our work. We believe in generosity — sharing knowledge, time, and resources so that others may thrive. Above all, we know we are stronger together. By building meaningful connections across communities, we create more than food provision — we share love, hope, and the belief that no one should face hunger alone.

Dignity

We provide good quality food that we would be proud to take home ourselves. Every person is treated with respect, without judgement or labels, so support feels human and builds confidence, not dependency.

Integrity

We act with honesty and transparency, doing the right thing even when it’s hard. We uphold equality and diversity, and we strive for excellence in all that we do.

Respect

Every person is valued and treated with dignity – families, partners, volunteers, and colleagues alike.

Generosity

We freely share ideas, knowledge, time, and resources so that others can thrive.

Inclusiveness

Everyone belongs. Our boxes are never just food – they carry thought, love, and the message that no one is left out.

Togetherness

We believe in the power of connection. By working side by side with partners, communities, and volunteers, we build strong social connections that multiply our impact.

HELP FAMILIES WHEN THEY NEED IT MOST

Together with our volunteers, partners, and supporters, our team works every day to ensure no one in the North East faces hunger or crisis alone.
